{"id":17,"date":"2014-08-28T09:18:46","date_gmt":"2014-08-28T09:18:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/academic-advising\/?page_id=17"},"modified":"2017-11-02T16:31:48","modified_gmt":"2017-11-02T20:31:48","slug":"summer-bridge","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/academic-advising\/summer-bridge\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer Bridge Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Middlesex County College offers an exciting opportunity called the\u00a0Summer Bridge Program.\u00a0 Listed below are important details about this program that you might want to share with your family.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">Students who have placed into developmental Math courses\u00a0are<strong> eligible for the Summer Bridge Program based on specific College Placement Test scores<\/strong>\u00a0which are listed below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">Students attending\u00a0Group Advising sessions\u00a0between\u00a0April and\u00a0August\u00a0will be able to register,\u00a0<strong>if eligible<\/strong>, for a one-week summer course. I<strong>f successful,<\/strong>\u00a0it will replace the traditional 14 week course in the Fall semester.\u00a0<strong>The cost of a Summer Bridge course for an in-county resident\u00a0is\u00a0$155.50 (not including textbooks).\u00a0<\/strong>Think of the time and money that you can be saving!<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">Remember. if you register for a Summer Bridge course, please be aware of your family responsibilities,\u00a0job requirements, and\/or vacation plans. While this is a terrific opportunity to complete developmental work in a shorter time span, you might jeopardize the successful completion of your Summer Bridge course(s), because\u00a0attendance is required for every class session.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">To determine your eligibility, look at your College Placement Test scores and compare them to the scores listed below.\u00a0<strong>(You can view your scores in CampusCruiser under the WebAdvisor tab.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">Depending on their placement scores, students can register for <strong>MAT 070<\/strong> as the one-week equivalent of MAT013S\/MAT 013, MAT 013 or MAT 014S\/MAT 014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">Students can register for <strong>MAT 095<\/strong> as the one-week equivalent of MAT 014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">To obtain a better understanding of which Math scores are associated with which Math Summer Bridge please look at the <a href=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/academic-advising\/math-sat-placement-rules\" rel=\"noopener\">Math Parameter Sheet<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">If interested and eligible, we will be happy to answer any questions about the Summer Bridge Program at the Group Advising Session you attend.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Middlesex County College offers an exciting opportunity called the\u00a0Summer Bridge Program.\u00a0 Listed below are important details about this program that you might want to share with your family.
