Clubs, Professional Organizations, and Honor Societies
Middlesex County College offers students a wide array of extracurricular activities. Getting involved in clubs, professional organizations, and honor societies is a great way to engage in professional development. The Education Club provides opportunities for students to engage in volunteerism and professional activities, while still having fun and meeting new people.
Kappa Delta Pi is a prestigious International Honor Society in Education that affords students an opportunity to engage in education-related experiences, scholarship, and professional development events. Membership to KDP is life-long, benefitting both pre-professional and professional teachers.
Students can also join NJSEA (New Jersey Student Education Association), which is a branch of NJEA (New Jersey Education Association). NJSEA is a professional organization that provides students with the opportunity to network with professionals in the field, attend conventions and other professional development events, and access to publications and education news.
