The Health and Physical Education department provides major course offerings for Physical Education options.\u00a0 It also offers courses in Wellness (HED 150, 200, 205) and Physical Education activity courses.<\/p>\n

Liberal Arts – Physical Education A.A. Degree<\/strong>
\nThe PE degree option prepares students for transfer as physical education majors to four year colleges and universities by having them complete a minimum of 6 college level courses. (HED 150, HED 200, PED 225 and 3 one credit activity classes). The option provides students with a foundation of knowledge for professional undergraduate study. Students will be able to appreciate the scientific principles and theoretical background of physical activities. Students will also develop the leadership responsibilities necessary in a teaching learning environment. In addition, students will understand the importance of health maintenance activities on both physiological and psychological well being. The Health and Physical Education faculty also provides service programs that promote wellness and the wise use of leisure time through course offerings.<\/p>\n
