He spent his career travelling to different places, repairing the C-130 Hercules aircraft. Darryl had a memorable experience in Alaska when he was required to perform emergency repairs on an aircraft there.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><b>The biggest challenge I faced<\/b> when getting to Middlesex was learning to be a student all over again. Help and support from the people in The Center for Veterans Services has helped me tremendously to adjust.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><b>My advice for new students<\/b> would be to join a group or network. Deployed to Iraq twice, his awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Action Badge. Mike was assigned to Fort Stewart, Georiga while he served with the 3d Infantry Division.<\/p>\r\n<p><b>\u201cThe biggest challenge I faced<\/b> when getting to Middlesex was learning the college processes. When I got there, The Center for Veterans Services was not yet established and I had to figure out most of those processes on my own. In 2011, MCC really helped veterans by centralizing most of the services that we need to use the most in the Center.<\/p>\r\n<p><b>My advice for new students<\/b> would be to get to know Dave and Paul. They get paid to help us! They are great guys and they are vets too. I learned a lot about my VA benefits from them. They helped me transfer to New Jersey City University where I feel really confident about college and how my VA entitlements work.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t
