The Dance degree option prepares students for transfer as dance majors to four year college and universities by having them complete a minimum of four college level courses. (DAN 131, DAN 132, Dan 201, DAN 202). The option provides students with a mastery and awareness of the craft of dance arts in theory and practice. Students will also experience the aesthetic value of dance as an art form. Students are required to engage in the study of technique, improvisation, composition, production and criticism. The option also provides students the opportunity to develop the ability to explore and extend their artistic, cognitive and psychomotor potential through movement skills.<\/p>\n
