TEAS Rules and Regulations

The following items are prohibited during the exam:

• Food or drink (unless necessary for a documented medical condition)
• Textbooks or reference books of any kind
• Calculators
• Sunglasses, hats or a hood
• Music (CD players, MP3 players, iPods, etc.)
• Communication (cell phone, pagers, PDA, etc.)
• You will not be allowed to communicate with your peers, other students, or students from other programs in the testing center during the test.
• This exam will be approximately 4 hours. For security reasons, you will not be allowed to leave the testing room or place phone calls during the test. No breaks will be given during the exam.
• Middlesex County College is now a smoke-free environment. Therefore, if you are a smoker, you should plan accordingly.

Special Note: If you violate any of these written instructions and/or any other instructions told to you by the test proctors on the day of the exam, your test materials will be collected, you will be asked to leave the testing room immediately, and your TEAS scores will be cancelled. Also, if you are already a student at Middlesex County College, you will be reported to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs for violating the college’s Code of Student Conduct.  

If there is inclement weather on the day of your exam appointment, please call the College Information Line (732-906-2555) to determine if the College is closed. If the College is closed, the Admissions Office will contact you to reschedule the test.
