Dispute - - 30 January 2017 12:44 pm

Two individuals became involved in a dispute on their way into campus. As one driver attempted to pass the other, a dispute developed. When police arrived on scene in Lot #5, one of the vehicles had a red liquid thrown on it which was believed to be juice. One of the driver’s claimed that she had been spit on, slapped in the face and verbally assaulted. There were no visible signs of injury to either party. Both parties provided written statements and both were advised on how to file complaints. #I-2017-002869 – Closed C.


Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #6 - 26 January 2017 12:21 pm

Vehicle #1 was parked in Lot #6 facing west when it was struck by Vehicle #2. The driver of Vehicle #2 stated the he misjudged the space between both vehicles.  Both vehicles sustained damage. No injuries were reported. #I-2017-002497 – Closed C.


Motor Vehicle Accident - Parking Lot #4 - 25 January 2017 7:36 pm

An individual parked Vehicle #1 in Lot #4. Upon returning to the vehicle after class, she found that it had been struck near the rear passenger side wheel. Vehicle  #2 had left the scene without reporting the crash; there are no known witnesses. #I-2017-002410 – Closed C.


Harassment - L'Hommedieu Hall - 25 January 2017 11:02 am

An individual reported to police that she has been followed on campus by the same person for the last several months. The subject in this case had previously been warned to cease his behavior. Police are currently investigating.  #I-2017-002359 – Open.


Motor Vehicle Accident - College Dr. East - 24 January 2017 12:13 pm

Vehicle #1 was travelling east on College Drive East when the driver stopped to allow pedestrians to cross at the crosswalk.  Vehicle #1 was struck from behind by Vehicle #2 which failed to stop. Vehicle #1 sustained minor damage to the rear bumper.  Vehicle #2 sustained moderate damage to the hood and front bumper. No injuries were reported. #I-2017-002226 – Closed C.


Suspicious Persons - Main Hall - 23 January 2017 4:04 pm

Police responded to Main Hall on the report of suspicious persons. Upon arrival, they spoke with the complainant who stated that three males had approached him in order to solicit personal information. The subjects claimed they worked for Primerica and were given permission to solicit this information, but that proved to be untrue. The complainant was advised to contact police immediately should he come in contact with the subjects. #I-2017-002105 – Open.


Motor Vehicle Accident - Vicinity of South Hall - 19 January 2017 8:15 pm

The driver of Vehicle #1 misjudged how close to the curb he was traveling, struck the curb and sustained damage to the passenger front door and running board area. No injuries were reported. #I-2017-001745 – Closed C.


Harassment - Gateway - 19 January 2017 12:48 pm

An individual reported to police that she was being harassed by someone from her Kappa Delta Pi club. The subject had been following the victim, calling her and leaving unwarranted voicemail messages.  The subject denied having any contact with the victim. Police advised the subject that any further incidents would lead to a charge of harassment. No further action taken at this time. #I-2017-001713 – Open.


Fire Alarm - - 16 January 2017 8:16 pm

Police responded to the Physical Education Center for a fire alarm. The fire department was called and upon investigation it was determined that there was a malfunction in the panel. Maintenance personnel were notified. #I-2017-001405 – Closed C.


Arrest - College Drive East - 13 January 2017 4:46 pm

Subsequent to conducting a motor vehicle stop for an expired registration, an individual was taken custody on an active warrant. #I-2017-001189 – Closed A.


Medical - Center III - 09 January 2017 9:04 am

Police responded to Center III on the report of a staff member who had slipped on the icy stairs and had fallen. Ice was provided for the patient’s injuries; the school nurse evaluated the patient who subsequently refused further medical treatment. #I-2017-000710.


Medical - West Hall - 05 January 2017 11:28 am

Police responded to West Hall on the report of an individual having trouble breathing due to an asthmatic condition. Upon arrival, police administered oxygen while the school nurse evaluated the patient.  EMS was called to the scene and transported the patient to a local hospital. #I-2017-000355.


Theft - Johnson Learning Center - 04 January 2017 4:31 pm

Police responded to the Johnson Learning Center in regards to a stolen computer monitor. A staff member reported that upon counting inventory, it became evident that one of the computer monitors was missing from Main Hall room 118. #I-2017-000255 – Open.
