Descriptions of Workshops

Body Image: Negative body image can be one of the first triggers of an eating disorder. Eating disorders affect people of all ages but are especially prominent among college students. Come learn how body image has evolved over the years and the benefits of positive body image.

Conflict Resolution: Students will learn about their role in conflict, gain insight about communication and body language, and practice effective communication skills.

Coping with Grief and Loss: Loss of a close friend or family member may seem impossible to recover from, and the impact can affect all aspects of life. Learn strategies to manage your feelings.

Disability Services: What you need to know: Receiving accommodations in college is different; come learn what to do.

How to Choose a Major and Career: Thinking about majors? Wondering what career path might be right for you? Get tips on how to start making decisions.

I have a Psychology Major-What Now?: Hear about jobs, careers and educational opportunities are available to graduates with a psychology degree.

Transfer Information:  Planning on transferring?  Come learn important information and what to do to prepare for transfer.

Relaxation & Meditation: Students will develop an understanding of the impact of the stress response and practice effective coping skills for reducing stress.

Stress Management: Is stress getting the best of you? Come learn ways to cope with these feelings productively.
