New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund
2017 Graduate Achievement Awards

Each year the Educational Opportunity Fund Board of Directors and the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education invite campuses to identify graduating EOF students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement during their college careers. The following Middlesex County College Graduates have been awarded this year:

Outstanding Academic Achievement: Graduates who consistently maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50-3.99

Outstanding Achievement: Each campus EOF program nominates one graduate who best exemplifies the spirit and intent of the Educational Opportunity Fund program. There is no grade point average requirement for this award.

Graduate Achievement Award Spotlight: Hamzah Ghani
Hamzah Ghani is a graduate of North Brunswick High School and lives in North Brunswick with his family. He is pursuing an associate degree at Middlesex County College and is majoring in Liberal Arts-Philosophy. He serves as the executive vice president of the Student Government Association, the co-president of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and the president of Democracy House. He is also a member of Psi Beta Honor Society for Psychology and has been on the Dean’s List every semester since his first year. As a member of College Assembly and the Guided Pathways team, he works with faculty and administrators to find ways to help improve Middlesex’s learning community. Mr. Ghani aspires to work in the field of Higher Education Administration, so he can help future college students achieve their goals.
