The English Department offers an array of courses in composition, literature, and advanced\u00a0writing\u2014as well as developmental courses in reading and writing\u2014for all degree and certificate\u00a0students. Underlying the teaching of all classes is a commitment to the same academic excellence\u00a0demanded by equivalent classes at four-year institutions.<\/p>\n

EXTRA HELP<\/h5>\n

Ample tutoring outside of class is available.\u00a0 Faculty keep at least three drop-in office hours per week and two office hours by appointment per week. In addition, students can get extra help in the Writing Center<\/a><\/strong>.<\/div>
