This requirement applies to students who have previously borrowed at another institution. Loan funds cannot be released until this requirement has been met.<\/p>\n<p>All students wishing to borrow subsidized and\/or unsubsidized Direct Loans must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Complete the following steps for subsidized and\/or unsubsidized Direct Loans to be certified and received by Middlesex County College.<\/p>\n<h2>Instructions:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong> Log into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.StudentLoans.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.StudentLoans.gov<\/a> by clicking the \u201cLog In\u201d button and entering the FSA ID. To create the FSA ID please go to www.fsaid.ed.gov<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Log In\" src=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/financial-aid\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/Instruction-img-1.jpg\" alt=\"Log In\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong> Select the \u201cComplete Counseling\u201d link<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Complete Counseling\" src=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/financial-aid\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/Instruction-img-2.jpg\" alt=\"Complete Counseling\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>3)<\/strong> Select Entrance Counseling by clicking the \u201cStart\u201d button<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Start\" src=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/financial-aid\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/Instruction-img-3.jpg\" alt=\"Start\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>4)<\/strong> Under the \u201cschool information\u201d, select \u201cNew Jersey\u201d as the \u201cSchool State\u201d and \u201cMiddlesex County College\u201d as the \u201cSchool Name.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>5)<\/strong> Follow the instructions to complete the counseling.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Note: It will take at least two business days before the financial aid office will receive confirmation the entrance counseling has been completed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Next, select the \u201cComplete Master Promissory Note Link<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/financial-aid\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/Instruction-img-4.jpg\" alt=\"Complete Master Promissory Note Link\" \/><\/p>\n<ul class=\"desgin-ul-full\">\n<li>Select the Subsidized\/Unsubsidized Direct Loan Link<\/li>\n<li>Input Two references<\/li>\n<li>Input School Name and State<\/li>\n<li>Sign the MPN electronically<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>All Students: New, Returning and Transfer Students Must Complete the Direct Loan Request Form<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"desgin-ul-full\">\n<li>MCC Does not automatically package your student loan so you must complete a <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/financial-aid\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/04\/2017-2018-Direct-Loan-Request-Form-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Student Loan Request Form<\/a><\/strong> to process your Direct Student Loan.<\/li>\n<li>To request a Parent PLUS Loan, the student must complete the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/financial-aid\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/04\/2017-2018-Federal-Direct-PLUS-Loan-Request-Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Parent Loan Request Form<\/a> <\/strong>and the Master Promissory Note.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Federal Direct Loans<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"desgin-ul-full\">\n<li>Federal Direct Subsidized Loan<\/li>\n<li>Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For students GRADUATING, TRANSFERRING or WITHDRAWING from MCC, who have taken out a loan with us, an EXIT Counseling form must be completed. This is needed so your financial eligibility for borrowing loans can be extended in the event you are going to another institution.
