The award was presented at a dinner in June.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Roy, associate chair of the English as a Second Language Department, taught Ms. Pham in two classes this spring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNguyet has impressed me greatly by her study habits and professional attitude,\u201d he said. \u201cThe courses have both involved outside-of-class group research projects, and in each of these projects, she has been a leader. Her contribution goes far beyond the project requirements, showing superior initiative, insight and critical thinking skills.
