Updated reports were posted periodically on the InfoNet at http:\/\/infonet.middlesexcc.edu\/middlestates and a number of comments were received at selfstudy@middlesexcc.edu.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/mcc-publications\/october-2010\/john-hoffman-longtime-college-counsel-receives-lhommedieu-award\/\">John Hoffman, Longtime College Counsel, Receives L&#8217;Hommedieu Award<\/a><br \/>\nJohn Hoffman, a shareholder of the law firm Wilentz, Goldman &amp; Spitzer P.A. and the legal counsel to Middlesex County College since 1964, is the 2010 L&#8217;Hommedieu Award recipient.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/mcc-publications\/october-2010\/david-edwards-appointed-dean-of-arts-and-sciences\/\">David Edwards Appointed Dean of Arts and Sciences<\/a><br \/>\nDavid Edwards has been named dean of arts and sciences at the College. He started August 30.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/mcc-publications\/october-2010\/college-foundation-meets-challenge-match-goal\/\">College Foundation Meets Challenge Match Goal<\/a><br \/>\nLast December, the Middlesex County College Foundation received a challenge grant from the Willard T. C. Johnson Foundation structured in two parts: an outright gift of $500,000 as well as a challenge grant of $500,000. In order to earn the full $500,000 challenge match, the Foundation&#8217;s supporters needed to make new scholarship gifts or pledges which, when added together, equaled $500,000 or more. The deadline to meet the challenge was June 30, 2010.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mccdemosite1.devsiteurl.com\/mcc-publications\/october-2010\/project-connections-receives-federal-grant\/\">Project Connections Receives Federal Grant<\/a><br \/>\nProject Connections, a program at MCC that provides intensive support services for college-able students with learning disabilities, has received a five-year federal grant.
