A 2010 graduate, she was elected by her classmates and will serve a one-year term.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Brosnan-Barth came to Middlesex after a career in marketing at Citibank, followed by a stint as a stay-at-home mom.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After the kids had grown, I decided to resume my career,&#8221; she said. &#8220;But I didn&#8217;t find the business world very fulfilling. I started thinking I wanted to work in the medical field. Whenever I would visit friends or relatives in the hospital, I was struck by the professionalism of the staff and the care they exhibited. I thought I&#8217;d like to be part of that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She enrolled in the radiography program at Middlesex and graduated in May. She is now working at St. Peter&#8217;s University Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, the graduating class elects a member to serve on the 12-member College Board of Trustees. Her term will go until June 30, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I loved Middlesex and will miss it,&#8221; she said. &#8220;But my election to the board will allow me to contribute and give back to my alma mater.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jean Brosnan-Barth was elected to the College Board of Trustees.
