The men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s teams from both schools wore pink warmup t-shirts and wristbands and members of the Middlesex softball team held a bake sale and collected donations for the American Cancer Society.<\/p>\n<p>The program was part of &#8220;Pink Zone,&#8221; a national effort to raise awareness and funds, organized by the Women&#8217;s Basketball Coaches Association. Last year, more than 1600 schools and organizations participated. Before the women&#8217;s game, Middlesex President Joann La Perla-Morales officiated at a ceremonial tipoff. At left is Cayla Linfante of Ocean County College and at right is Justine Boyd of Middlesex County College. Ocean won the women&#8217;s contest 57-55; the Middlesex men won the later game 67-60.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the women&#8217;s teams.
