Morano has been appointed special assistant to the president for labor relations and legal affairs at the College. He is responsible for guiding union\/management relationships, contract administration and related personnel, affirmative action and compliance issues.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Morano joins Middlesex with an exceptional record in personnel management, public sector employment and labor law, civil rights law, special education and administrative law. He has an accomplished 20-year career in education and government employment law; most recently, he served as general counsel with the Hoboken Public Schools.<\/p>\n<p>While in private practice, he represented boards of education, public school districts, law enforcement and other public entities in legal and personnel matters.<\/p>\n<p>A frequent presenter, trainer, and guest lecturer, Mr. Morano has served the Administrative Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association as current and past chairman, from 1999-present. He earned his B.A. in Political Science at Syracuse University and his J.D. at Brooklyn Law School.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joseph R.
