Felician College will offer three baccalaureate degree completion programs on the Middlesex County College campus in Edison, NJ beginning in January 2010. The three offerings are a B.S. in Business (with a Business Administration or Accounting track), a B.A. in Elementary Education (with optional Preschool-3 and Special Education certification), and a Fast-Track RN-BSN program. This agreement provides students the opportunity to stay at Middlesex and complete their Bachelor’s degree after completing their Associate’s Degree. It also provides county residents who have previous college credits a local and convenient opportunity for baccalaureate degree completion. Both institutions anticipate the number of on-campus offerings to broaden, to include graduate degree completion programs.<\/p>\n
“This partnership is a demonstration of the outstanding visionary leadership of the administration at Middlesex County College,” said Dr. William Morgan, vice president of off-campus services at Felician College, said. “Middlesex County College has always been known as a leader for delivering innovative, relevant, quality and affordable education to Middlesex County. Students now have an affordable ‘stay-at-home’ option for completing their Bachelor’s degree in Business, Teacher Education, and Nursing \u2013 without the extra fees, commute or dorms.”<\/p>\n
Dr. Joann La Perla-Morales, president of Middlesex County College, said, “With campuses in Lodi and Rutherford, Felician may be a little far for our students to travel. By providing students the opportunity to continue their education in Felician classes on our Edison campus, they can earn a Felician degree without leaving Middlesex County.
