The men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams from both schools wore pink warmup t-shirts and wristbands and members of the Middlesex women\u2019s team and softball squad held a bake sale and collected donations for cancer research. The program was part of \u201cPink Zone,\u201d a national effort to raise awareness and funds, organized by the Women\u2019s Basketball Coaches Association. Before the women\u2019s game, Delores Scolamiero, a cancer survivor, officiated at a ceremonial tipoff.
