Nicholas Clemente from Middlesex County College has been named the Garden State Athletic Conference Division III baseball player of the week. Clemente finished last week going 4 for 14 at the plate with a double, triple, home run, five RBIs, and five runs scored. On the mound, the freshman righty earned a complete game victory against Union County College and allowed only four hits, no earned runs, and struck out nine batters. He earned a three-inning save against Brookdale Community College, and he allowed only one run and struck out five. On April 15th in the Colts win over Brookdale, Clemente earned another save as he threw 2.2 innings and allowed no runs and no hits. His totals for the week were 11 2/3 innings pitched, one earned run, 16 strikeouts, one win and two saves.
