Middlesex County College will offer a free training program for unemployed and dislocated workers in industrial electro-mechanical technology. The course will teach workers how to operate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of electro-mechanical systems in a wide variety of machines, including heaters, coolers, furnaces, pumps, compressors, blowers and lathes.

“This is a growing field, with plenty of job opportunities,” said Nick DeMatteo, director of corporate education and training at MCC.
The course is run by the New Jersey Talent Development Center for Advanced Manufacturing, which is funded by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
